    The Service Manual is a supplement to our Spare Parts Catalogue and User Manual. MC Concept 1170 II is designed for safe travel for at least 10 years, up to a max. of 5,000 hours, provided it is serviced and safety-checked every year, corresponding to 500 hours of operation.

    Medema Production A/S Programming The electric control in the MC Concept can be programmed so that it best meets the customer’s needs. From the factory the vehicle is programmed in default confi guration, so that smooth acceleration, proper braking and sensitivity are guaranteed.

    Medema Production A/S Maintenance MC Concept 1170 II is designed so that it requires very little care and maintenance. However we recommend an annual inspection, which the following are checked: Description Date Initials Transaxle - clean, check for leakage. Check bearings.

The MC Concept 1170 II is designed to stay safe to use for at least 10 years, up to a maximum of 5,000 hours, providing it has service and safety inspections every year, which is equivalent to around 500 operating hours.

    Medema Production A/S Checking the pivot wheel Place a piece of wood or similar beneath the chassis to lift the wheel clear of the ground. Check the bearings in the swing mode. If there is a play, tightened it. If this is not enoug, then both bearings have to be changed.

You must NEVER brake the MC Concept by switching off with the I/O button while moving, as this applies the magnetic brake with considerable force, with a resulting risk of tipping.

    Medema Production A/S Checking the brakes Parking brake / magnetic brake: Has to be tested on a fl at ground with minimum 1 meter free space around the scooter.  Turn on the MC Concept, and move the joystick slowly forward, until a click is heard.

  • Page 39 Medema Production A/S Note! Every motor gear has a number written on it. This number is the motor gears speed of rotation. When a motor gear is replaced, please be aware that this number is the same on both motor gears on the vehicle.

    Medema Production A/S Dismantling Hoist / Tilt. ALWAYS turn off the power before disassembly begins. Loosen the two thumb screws behind the seat. Demount the two connectors behind the bellow. Loosen the bellow and pull it up. Take of the hand screw. Dismount leg rests before tilting the seat.

    Medema Production A/S Dismantle the bellow To work with the hoist and tilt functions, it is recommended to remove the bellow from the frame. Loosen the bellow all the way along the frame. Lift it up and push it forward towards the seat.

    Medema Production A/S Checking the security discs It is very important to check the security discs under the seat. These must be intact. If you have to change a pin or other bolts, where a security discs are used, the security discs must be replaced with a new ones.

    Medema Production A/S Checking the bolts under the seat Countersunk In the top of the hoist / tilt module the 4 bolts to restrain the seat to the frame are placed. These must be checked / tightened. If any of the bolts are replaced, all bolts must be secured with Loctite 243 Note! That countersunk must be used in the back-end.

No cables must be trapped when the seat is tilted into place! Mount the two thumbscrews. Mount the main cable and the joystick cable (see section Dismantling the hoist / tilt).
