Installing/Routing Fibers
1 Open-End Corrugated Pipe Introduction
NOTE
Do not use an open-end corrugated pipe to hold
excessive fibers. It is recommended that an open-
end corrugated pipe that has a diameter of 32 mm
accommodate 60 fibers at most, each with a
diameter of 2 mm.
Before routing fibers out of a cabinet, ensure that
they are protected in an open-end corrugated pipe
and about 10 cm of the open-end corrugated pipe
is inside the cabinet.
2 Precautions
No.
Avoid direct eye exposure to fiber connectors when performing operations such as installing
1
and maintaining fibers.
G.657A2 optical fibers with short strain relief boots are recommended for the OptiX PTN 7900-
32, and their bending radius is greater than or equal to 10 mm. G.657B3 optical fibers with
2
ultra-short strain relief boots can also be used for the OptiX PTN 7900-32, and their bending
radius is greater than or equal to 8 mm. Optical fibers of other types are not supported.
After the optical fibers are installed, the optical interfaces to which no optical fibers are
3
connected must be covered with a dust-proof plug, and the fiber connectors that are not
connected to any optical interface must be covered with an optical fiber cap.
