Before setting up i-DOS

Follow the manufacturer's instructions
when choosing your detergent and care
product. We recommend using easy-
pour, all-purpose, universal and colour
liquid detergents for all machine-
washable, coloured items made of
cotton or synthetic fabrics.
Notes
Only use easy-pour liquid products

that the manufacturer recommends
adding to the detergent drawer.
When cleaning the i-DOS detergent
■
drawer, empty the dispenser
completely and clean it. ~ Page 36
Do not mix detergent and fabric
■
softener.
Do not use products containing
■
solvents, caustic agents or volatile
substances (e.g. bleach).
Do not use products that have
■
expired or are highly congealed.

Automatic dosing

The automatic dosage operates as
follows:
Switch on the appliance.

A function test of the i-DOS pump
unit takes place, and this can be
detected by a brief noise in the i-
DOS detergent drawer.
Select a programme with i-DOS

settings.
When the i-DOS setting for detergent
and fabric softener is active, the
corresponding symbols light up in
the display.
Start the programme.

The drum rotates and, depending on
the programme selected, load
detection takes place (takes up to 2
minutes). Depending on the load
detected, the required quantities of
detergent and fabric softener (in the
last wash cycle) are then dosed,
which can be detected by a pump
noise.
Intelligent dosing system
Automatic dosing can be activated or
deactivated for each of the designated
wash programmes separately.
Automatic dosing can also be activated
or deactivated once the programme has
started, although this depends on which
stage the programme is in.
To activate/deactivate the function,
press ý i-DOS and/or þ i-DOS
briefly.The setting will be saved until the
next time it is changed.
In addition to automatic dosing,
Tip:
you can also add further laundry care
products such as stain remover, starch,
softener or bleach to the manual dosing
compartment. To prevent overdosing or
foam build-up, do not add more
detergent to the manual dosing
compartment.
Notes
To protect your laundry, automatic
■
dosing can only be used with certain
programmes.
Programs with prewash
■
automatic dosing is selected,
detergent will be dispensed
automatically for the prewash and
main wash cycles.
i-DOSSetting the content of
the M/w dispenser
Default setting for the dispenser content
M/w: Fabric softener (M).
Alternatively, you can also use this
dispenser for a second liquid detergent.
Set the dispenser content as follows:
Press þ i-DOS.

w lights up in the display.
If you want to change the dispenser,

press þ i-DOS again.
The display changes from w to M.
To exit setting mode, press and hold

þ i-DOS for approx. 3 seconds or
wait briefly.
