Placing laundry into the drum

Danger of death!
Items of laundry pretreated with
cleaning agents that contain solvents,
e.g. stain remover/cleaning solvent,
may cause an explosion after being
loaded into the washing machine.
Hand-rinse these items of laundry
thoroughly beforehand.
Notes
Mix items of laundry of varying
sizes.Laundry items of different sizes
distribute themselves better during
the spin cycle.Individual laundry
items may cause an unbalanced
load.
Observe the maximum specified
load. Overfilling adversely affects the
washing result and promotes
creasing.
Unfold presorted laundry items and

place them in the drum.
Make sure that no items of laundry

are trapped between the door and
the rubber seal, and close the door.
Measure and add detergent
and care products
In most programmes, your appliance
can dose your detergent and fabric
softener automatically. Automatic
dosing is activated at the factory for all
the designated programmes and it can
be adjusted to suit your requirements.

For programmes in which automatic
dosing is not possible or not desired (in
which case, intelligent dosing is
deactivated), you can add suitable
detergent to the compartment in the
detergent drawer for manual dosing.

Start the programme

Touch A on the control panel.
The programme starts and the
A symbol lights up.
The door is locked and the
corresponding è symbol lights up.
The drum rotates and load detection
takes place (takes up to two minutes).
The current programme information is
displayed during the programme:
Finished in-time or, after the washing
programme has started, the
programme duration
And the programme progress
indicators light up.

Information on the following programme
steps and settings, which can be
changed while the programme is in
progress, lights up at half brightness.
Note:
Foam detection
If the Å symbol also lights up, the
washing machine has detected too
much foam during the washing
programme and automatically activated
additional rinse cycles to remove the
foam.
Add less detergent the next time you
run a wash cycle with the same load.
If you want to lock the programme to
prevent the settings from being
changed inadvertently, you can select
the childproof lock as follows.
