Faults
Water is leaking from the
machine.
The programme has
started and the drum is
rotating, but the drum is not
filling with water.
The machine is not filling
with water.
Detergent is not being dis-
pensed.
The door cannot be
opened.
The programme will not
start.
Nothing happens when you
press A.
Nothing happens when you
press ý i-DOS or þ i-
DOS.
The wrong detergent/fab-
ric softener has been
poured into the dis-
penser(s).
Detergent/fabric softener
has congealed in the dis-
pensers.
Foam is leaking from the
detergent drawer.

Cause/remedy
Attach the drain hose correctly or replace it.
Tighten the threaded connection on the supply hose.
Not a fault – the load is automatically detected after the programme has started in
order to calculate the optimum amount of water for washing. This process can take
up to two minutes and no water is added during this time.
Have you started the programme?
Is the tap turned on?
Could the filter be clogged? Clean the filter.
Is the supply hose kinked or trapped?
The safety function is active.
Note:
For safety reasons, the door remains locked when the water level or tem-
perature is high (see

Is $ selected (Rinse Hold = no final spin)?
Can the door only be opened by the emergency release?
Have you started the programme or selected Finished in-time?
Is the door closed?
Is the childproof lock activated? Deactivate it.

Automatic dosing: i-DOS Check the dosage settings and, if required, reduce the
basic dosage.

If required, use a different liquid detergent/fabric softener.
Manual dosing: Have you used too much detergent? Use less detergent in the
next wash cycle.
Immediate action: Mix one tablespoon of fabric softener with 1/2 litre of water
and pour it into the manual dosing compartment (not suitable for outdoor cloth-
ing, sportswear or items stuffed with down).
