Proceed to the procedure for completing the disk drive or solid-state drive replacement by using the
diagnostic command. For instructions, see "Completing the disk drive or solid-state drive replacement by
using the diagnostic command."
Completing the disk drive or solid-state drive replacement by using
the diagnostic command
Complete the following steps after you have replaced the disk drive or solid-state drive:
1. Exit to the Task selection display.
2. Select Log Repair Action.
3. Select the disk drive or solid-state drive that you replaced and then press Enter.
4. Select Commit after you have made your selection and then press Enter.
5. Exit to the command line.
6. Proceed to completing the procedure.

Completing the procedure

Complete the following steps after you install or replace the disk drive or solid-state drive in a system,
enclosure, or expansion unit:
1. Replace the front cover. For instructions, see "Installing the front cover on the 8248-L4T, 8408-E8D, or
9109-RMD" on page 147.
2. Verify the installed part:
v If you replaced the part because of a failure, verify the installed part. For instructions, see
"Verifying a repair" on page 161.
v If you installed the part for any other reason, verify the installed part. For instructions, see
"Verifying the installed part" on page 149.
