Operation

Before using for the first time

Observe the following information before using the
appliance for the first time:
Thoroughly clean the appliance and the accessories.

Switching on

For extraction, three ventilation settings and an
Ž
Intensive mode are available.
1 Open the fan flaps.
Note: At least one fan flap must be open before the
fan will switch on.
2 Push the control knob in and turn it clockwise to the
required fan setting.
The illuminated ring behind the control knob will
light up.
Intensive mode
When combined with AA 490 111, Intensive mode will
run for 6 minutes (when combined with AA 490 110, it
will run for 10 minutes). Once this time has elapsed, the
ventilation system will automatically switch back to fan
setting 3.
The illuminated ring behind the control knob will flash
for as long as the control knob remains in the Intensive
Ž
mode position after Intensive mode has finished and
while at least one ventilation element is open.

Switching off

1 Turn the control knob to position 0.
2 Close the fan flaps.

Run-on function

Ideal for ventilating the kitchen after cooking has
finished. The run-on function is only available at setting
2.
1 Open the fan flaps.
Note: At least one fan flap must be open before the
fan will switch on.
2 Push the control knob in and turn it anti-clockwise
to the run-on function
The illuminated ring behind the control knob will
flash.
When combined with AA 490 111, the run-on time will
be 6 minutes (when combined with AA 490 110, it will
be 10 minutes).
Once the run-on time has elapsed, the ventilation
system will switch off automatically.
