When working on the heat pump, the system must be
completely disconnected and tensionless. The heat
pump must be prevent from being switched on again.
The electrical connection must be made by a licensed
electrical company. The electrical connection must be
registered by the responsible power supply company.
The executing electrical company is responsible for
the standard-compliant connection of the electrical
installation and the applied protective measure.
If residual current circuit breakers are used in the sys-
tem, the suitable types can be taken from the wiring
diagram.
Fuse protection: see wiring diagram
Connection of the heat pump: see wiring diagram
Cabeling: only copper (no aluminium)
The cables drawn in the wiring diagram are to be
regarded as a selection help. All cables must be
dimensioned according to the actual conditions (me-
chanical load, current load, potential drop, environ-
mental temperature, UV resistance, electromagnetic
compatibility.
Before commissioning the system, check all terminals
and tighten if necessary!
The mains voltage at the terminals of the heat pump
must be 230 V or 400 V +-10%, depending on the
type.
When working on the heat pump, please
be sure that the device is tensionless.

8. 2 . E le c t r i ca l c o nne c t i o n i ndo o r u nit
For iPump A heat pumps, separate cable entries for
the main power supply and for the sensors have been
designed to avoid problems in the fi eld of Electro-
Magnetic Compatibility.
It is especially in the area of responsibility of the elec-
trical company to avoid possible coupling paths when
creating the electrical installation.
EMC-faults can have diff erent eff ects:
- Short-term measurement faults
- Permanent measurement faults
- Short-term interruption in data connections
- Permanent interruption in data connections
- Data losses
- Damage to equipment
8. 3 . E le c t r i ca l c o nne c t i o n i ndo o r u nit
All electrical connections of the iPump A will be in-
serted from the top of the heat pump to the electrical
components. For connection details, please see the
enclosed wiring diagram of the heat pump.
