6 .3. Dr in k i ng w at er c on n e c t ion
The hydraulic integration is realized according to the
indicated schemes. The hot water tank is convenient
for drink water (ph-value > 7,3) according to DIN
50930-6. The connection pipe work can be made with
galvanised pipes, stainless steel pipes, copper pipes
or plastic pipes. The connections must be realised
pressure-tight. The component-tested safety devices
as per DIN 1988 and DIN 4753 must be installed
in the cold water line (see adjacent fi gure). The
operating pressure of 10 bar indicated on the type
plate must not be exceeded. If necessary a pressure
reducer must be installed.

1...Pressure reducer (only for pressures
exceeding 6 bar)
2...Drain valve
3...Back fl ow preventer
4...Manometer connector 1/2"
5...Isolating valve
6...Membran-Si valve
IA dirt collector is installed in the cold water line.
In the case of hard water a water softening device
should be installed.
6 .4. Assembly of t h e ou t d oor un it
The outdoor unit consists of the ventilator, the expan-
sion valve and the evaporator.
The refrigerant lines between the internal and the
outdoor unit must be build on site. the refrigerant
lines are available as an accessory. The hot gas- and
the liquid line must be insulated separately.
The connecting lines must be insulated
in order to minimise losses through the
earth.

assembly and hydraulic installation
Installation site preparations
Take the following points into account when installing
the outdoor device:
- The maximum pipe length between the external-
and the indoor unit may not be more than 20 meter
(in one direction)
- For diff erence height between indoor- and outdoor
unit see page 17
- The installation site must be selected such that no
noise interference can occur (do not install close to
bedrooms, keep distance from neighbours), hedges
and bushes can absorb noise
- A frost-proof connection of the condensation run-off
is required
- Unhindered air fl ow must be possible (install at
least 20 cm above the expected snow depth)
- The minimum distances, mentioned on the following
pages, must be observed
- The inlet air must be free of impurities such as sand
and caustic materials such as ammonia, sulphur,
chlorine, etc.
- The outdoor unit must be installed on a rigid, solid
construction
- When installing at windy locations (e.g. on a roof),
the alignment of the machine must be selected
such that the prevailing wind direction is normally
facing the air inlet direction of the external device
If the alignment is not possible at very windy loca-
tions, additional wind protection can be installed, e.g.
a hedge.
