5.5.5 Menu item "Contrast"

With the button + (21), the contrast of the display can
be increased or decreased with the button - (22). The
value adjusted will be indicated numerically (from -3
to 3) and also graphically in the shape of a sliding con-
trol.

5.5.6 Menu item "Light time"

The time after which the display illumination is to be
automatically extinguished can be increased with the
button + (21) or decreased with the button - (22). The
value adjusted will be indicated in seconds and also
graphically in the shape of a sliding control. The two
end positions mean:
ON = the illumination is always switched on
OFF = the illumination is always switched off
Note: The batteries will be saved with shorter illumina-
tion times.

5.6 Fastening the receiver

Via the belt clip (25) to be locked into the grooves on
both sides of the receiver, the receiver can be fastened
e. g. on your clothes. When using a wireless micro-
phone or transmitter for a musical instrument at the
same time, make sure that the transmitter and the
receiver are not placed side by side; they might inter-
fere with each other. It will be better to place the two
units apart, e. g. one on the right side and one on the
left side of your body.

5.7 Further optional features of the transmitter

5.7.1 Operating mode MONO/STEREO

Regardless of the receiver, it is also possible to select
the operating mode MONO or STEREO for the trans-
mitter. Set the transmitter to mono when only one input
is used. The signal will then be fed to both sides.
However, when using the system in the mix/mono
mode, the transmitter must be set to STEREO while
the receiver is set to MONO.
The current operating mode will be indicated on the
display in the position (l) as "ST" or "MONO".
To change the operating mode:
1) Keep the button SET (4) pressed for more than
approx. 3 s. In the upper line (k) of the display,
"FREQ." will flash.

2) Press the button SET so many times until "MODE"
in the upper line starts flashing.
3) With the button - (5), select the mono mode
(
) or the stereo mode (
button + (3).
4) Confirm the selection with the button SET.

5.7.2 "LOCK" function

Similar to the receiver, it is also possible to activate a
lock function on the transmitter which will make it more
difficult to change adjustments unintentionally.
To activate the function:
1) Keep the button SET (4) pressed for more than
approx. 3 s. In the upper line (k) of the display,
"FREQ." will flash.
2) Press the button SET so many times until "LOCK"
at the position (o) on the display starts flashing.
3) With the button + (3), switch the function on (
with the button - (5), switch it off (
4) Confirm the selection with the button SET.
On the display, "LOCK" (o) will be indicated. When a
button is pressed,

To deactivate the function, keep the button SET
pressed for more than approx. 3 s, switch off the func-
tion (

button SET.

5.8 Switching off the units

After use and to save the batteries, switch off the
receiver when it is not used for a longer period. For this
purpose, turn the volume control (18) to the left stop
until it locks into place.
To switch off the transmitter, keep the button
POWER (1) pressed for more than approx. 3 s. The
display will shortly indicate

used for a longer period, disconnect it from the mains
as it will have a low current consumption even when it
