Set the AIT data cartridge orienta-
tion as shown here and insert it into
the data cartridge slot.
By inserting the data cartridge to the
extent, it is automatically set in the
drive and the TAPE LED lights.
4 Close the dust cover.
Important
• When write-protect is enabled using the AIT data cartridge write-protect plug so that you
cannot write data in the data cartridge, the STATUS LED
lights.

• Mount the Dust-Proof Cover
In order to avoid disrepair, the Dust-
Proof Cover is designed to come
away easily. It is easy to attach the
cover by fitting it into the direction
which is indicated by arrows in Fig. 1
when the cover came off.
