Care and maintenance
WARNING
Risk of injury!
Disconnect the mains plug before
cleaning the exhaust hood, changing
the fi lters or replacing the halogen
lamp. If the mains plug is diffi cult to
access, switch off the power at the
appropriate house fuse.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
or incorrect maintenance can result in
grease residue catching fi re.
Grease residue on the exhaust hood
or in the grease fi lters can catch fi re
if exposed to high temperatures. For
this reason, clean the surfaces of the
exhaust hood and grease fi lters reg-
ularly.

Cleaning the housing

NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Do not use any sharp objects or scour-
ing powders, as these can scratch the
surface.
We recommend cleaning the surfaces of the
exhaust hood after every use.
• Wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth
and a little dishwashing detergent.
• Clean glass surfaces with standard glass
cleaner.

Cleaning the grease filters

NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Handle the grease fi lters carefully to
avoid bending or creasing the fi ne
mesh.
Do not replace the grease fi lter after
cleaning until it is fully dry.
Clean the grease filter once a month – or
more frequently if necessary – in the dish-
washer (up to 60 °C), or soak in lukewarm
water with detergent.
1. Unplug the mains plug or switch off the
corresponding circuit.
2. Fold the cover (7) up.
3. Slide the lock of the grease filter (9) side-
ways and carefully remove the grease
filter.
4. Wash the grease filter (9) in a dishwasher
or in the sink like ordinary dish ware.
