Procedure
1. Open the release handle (rotate the handle down).
2. Slide the battery backup unit into the media tray.
3. Close the release handle (rotate the handle up)

Removing an advanced management module

You can remove the advanced management module while the BladeCenter S
system is powered on. To remove it, disconnect all cables, open the release handle,
and slide the advanced management module out of the BladeCenter S chassis.
Before you begin
If the advanced management module that is currently installed in theBladeCenter S
chassis is functioning, make sure that the configuration file has been saved before
replacing the BladeCenter S Types 7779 and 8886.
See the Advanced Management Module User's Guide or the Advanced Management
Module Command-Line Interface Reference Guide for instructions for saving and
restoring a configuration file.

Installing an advanced management module

You can install the advanced management module while the BladeCenter S system
is powered on. To install it, open the release handle on the module and slide
advanced management module into the advanced management module bay.
