Tire Pressure Monitor Active: the teach-in

condition ( page 308). Additionally, observe

the notes on cold tires ( page 306).

The values displayed in the on-board com-
puter may deviate from those of the tire pres-
sure gauge as they refer to sea level. At high
elevations, the tire pressure values indicated
by a pressure gauge are higher than those
shown by the on-board computer. In this case,
do not reduce the tire pressure.

The recommended tire pressure is correctly

set for the respective operating status on all of
the wheels ( page 306).

Restart the tire pressure monitoring system in the
following situations:
The tire pressure has changed.

The wheels or tires have been changed or
R
newly installed.

ence Values message is shown in the Instru-
ment Display.

the system checks whether the current tire
pressures are within the speci ed range. The
current tire pressures are then accepted as
reference values and monitored.
