Serpentine Belt Inspection

Inspecting the belts with the engine running may cause serious injury or death. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition
key before adjusting tension or inspecting belts.
All drive belts must be periodically inspected for proper tension and condition. Belts that show signs of wear such as cracking,
fraying, or glazing of the belt surface should be replaced.
If the serpentine belt needs to be replaced, consult your Mercury Diesel authorized repair facility.
