Installing the Command Line Utility
The ARCCONF command line utility is provided on the Adaptec Storage Manager installation
CD. The utility is automatically installed in the same directory as Adaptec Storage Manager and
must remain there.
Installing on Windows
To install
ARCCONF
Start the computer.

After Windows starts, insert the Adaptec Storage Manager CD.

When the installation program starts, follow the on-screen instructions.

Installing on Linux
To install
ARCCONF
Start the computer.

After Linux starts, insert the Adaptec Storage Manager CD.

Mount the Adaptec Storage Manager CD:

mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
Change to the cdrom directory:

cd /media/cdrom/linux/manager
Extract the RPM package and install it:

rpm --install ./StorMan*.rpm
Unmount the Adaptec Storage Manager CD:

umount /media/cdrom
Installing on OpenServer and UnixWare
To install
ARCCONF
Insert the Adaptec Storage Manager installation CD in the CD drive.

Mount the Adaptec Storage Manager installation CD:

mount -r -F cdfs /dev/cdrom/cdromdevicefile /mnt
where
cdromdevicefile
To determine the actual filename, look in the /dev/cdrom directory.
Use pkgadd to install Adaptec Storage Manager:

pkgadd -d /mnt/unixware/manager/RaidMan.ds (for UnixWare)
pkgadd -d /mnt/openserv6/manager/RaidMan.ds (for OpenServer 6)

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
cd /mnt/cdrom/linux/manager
umount /mnt/cdrom
on OpenServer and UnixWare systems:
is the device file, for example, c0b0t010, for the CD block device.
