PUTTING IT INTO SERVICE
Refer to the power draw table for the various conditions
and add the power of the resistors connected in order to
determine the size of the electrical system.
Electrical draw increases by 9A for each connected stage
in single-phase units.
In three-phase units, electrical draw increases by 9A on
each phase connected to the resistor. In case of connec-
tion of only one or two stages, there will be 9A draw also
on neutral.
Adequately size the electrical connector of the neutral.
A manually rearmed thermostat sensor TS calibrated to 80°C
is present in units with resistor inside the collector to dis-
con-nect power from relay K1 if the threshold is exceeded.
36 Dynamic set adjustment
As the outdoor temperature measured by the T4 outdoor
temperature sensor increases, the climatic control system re-
duces the heating setpoint value, starting from -5°C up to a
maximum delta of 10°C, which is attained when the exter-nal
temperature reaches 15°C.
The control system makes it possible to create compensation
algorithms, according to specific parameters which can be
programmed by the Technical Service Centre acting on the
value of the delta of deviation of the OTS setpoint and the
external temperature values:
• maximum OTH (beyond which the setpoint cannot be
further reduced)
• minimum OTL (below which the setpoint is maintained)
In winter, the setpoint shown in tile F is subject to the cli-
matic control function.
37 Plant delivery
Once all the checks and controls on the correct operation
of the plant have been completed, the installer must explain
the following to the user:
38 Long period shut-down
The following operations must be carried out if the air-to-wa-
ter heat pump is not used for a long time:
– disable the device
– turn the master switch of the appliance to position 0-, OFF.
After switching off the appliance:
– switch off the indoor terminal units by setting the switch
of each appliance to the "off" position
– set the main system switch to "Off"
39 Draining the plant
The units are provided with a drain cock.

Disabling hot water, cooling or heating
function
The appliance is designed to provide hot water (high priori-
ty), cooling and heating, but the Technical Service Centre can
easily deactivate the functions by operating on the con-troll-
er configuration parameters SCE, ECE and ICE.
In this case, the respective icon on the touch screen interface
will disappear.
If the hot water function is disabled, the emergency inter-face
will display the water temperature in the hydraulic separator
(T1).

Contact the Technical Service Centre.
If the outside temperature may fall below zero degrees
centigrade, with the likelihood of frost, the hydraulic plant
must be drained or antifreeze liquid (e.g. ethylene glycol)
must be added in the doses recommended by the man-
ufacturer.
To restart the heat pump after it has been out of operation for
a long time, contact the Service Centre.
