Basic operations by using the remote control
Performing automatic setup
The Input search function, Auto PC adjustment function and Auto Keystone correction function can be performed
simultaneously.
Input search is a function to automatically detect the input signal and switch the input.
The Auto PC adjustment function can be used to automatically adjust the clock phase, image position (horizontal / vertical)
and dot clock when the still image analog RGB signal is input. (Analog RGB signal is a signal structured with dots just like the
computer signal.)
The Auto Keystone correction function automatically corrects vertical trapezoidal distortion.
It is recommended to input an image with bright white borders at the edges and high-contrast black and white characters
when the Auto PC adjustment function is being performed. Avoid using images that include halftones or gradation, such as
photographs and computer graphics.

Press the <AUTO SETUP> button on the remote control.

f For settings of the functions to be performed during automatic setup execution, refer to the [Expand] menu → [Auto setup]
(x page 58).
f It may not be correctly adjusted even when the Auto PC adjustment function is performed. In such a case, adjust the
following settings.
- For clock phase: [Display] menu → [Fine sync] (x page 48)
- For horizontal image position: [Display] menu → [H Position] (x page 48)
- For vertical image position: [Display] menu → [V Position] (x page 49)
- For dot clock: [Display] menu → [H.Size] (x page 49)
f If trapezoidal distortion remains, you can make adjustment by using the screen adjustment function. For details, refer to
"Using the screen adjustment function" (x page 39).
You can also adjust it by using the [Expand] menu → [Keystone] (x page 59).
f It may not be adjusted correctly depending on the computer model and the input signal.
f Images may be disrupted for a few seconds during automatic adjustment or automatic correction, but it is not a malfunction.
f If you press any button on the remote control during execution of automatic setup, automatic setup will be canceled.
f Even for signals compatible with Auto PC adj. function, the Auto PC adjustment may not work properly when the automatic
setup is performed with moving picture input.
Switching the aspect ratio of the image
You can switch aspect ratios of the image.
