INLET SYSTEM

Inlet system
The inlet system is the connection between the air filter and cylinder with the
intermediate carburettor.
For engine function, it is essential that the inlet system closes tightly, to
prevent dust from entering the engine and because the fuel/air mixture must
always be correct.
Dismantling
Remove the two screws that hold
the inlet elbow and the carbu-
rettor in place.
Unscrew the carburettor.
Loosen the fuel hose and choke.
Loosen the throttle wire.
Lift off the carburettor.
Remove the inlet elbow from
the rubber suspension.
Dismantling
Remove the whole air filter unit and the
cylinder cover.
Start by cleaning the cylinder flanges
and the area around the carburettor
thoroughly with compressed air.
Remove the two screws that hold the
inlet elbow and the carburettor in place.
Unscrew the carburettor and fold back
the inlet elbow to free up the carburettor.
Lift up the carburettor and pull the fuel
hose from the carburettor.
Release the choke's link rod from the
carburettor.
Turn the carburettor so that the throttle
wire nipple is accessible. Loosen this
from the carburettor.
Lift off the carburettor.
Loosen the inlet elbow's two hooks from
the rubber suspension.
