STARTING UP AND SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE

The operating position will always be behind the handlebar, holding onto it with both hands.

STARTING UP THE ENGINE

1. PUT THE ON/OFF SWITCH ON THE HANDLEBAR INTO THE "I" POSITION
The engine has 2 stop/start switches:
1. On the handlebar (p.6 letter "D" and fig.11). This must always be used to stop and start the machine.
2. On the engine (p.6 letter "O"). This must always be placed in the "ON" position, and must never be touched.

2. PLACE THE FUEL VALVE IN THE "OPEN" POSITION AND THE AIR CONTROL IN THE "CLOSED" POSITION

3.- TURN THE ENGINE ON as follows, AFTER CARRYING OUT THE PREVIOUS STEPS
If the engine is cold:
Grab the starter cord grip with your right hand (fig. 10) and pull it gently until it compresses the engine. Without
releasing the grip, let the cord collect before pulling it again sharply.
Once the engine has popped several times, put the air control in the "open" position (fig. 9), and pull the cord
once more.
NOTE: In order to avoid damaging the startup mechanism, do not release the grip until it has slowly returned
to its position.
