Operating and Maintenance Instructions
The fan status screen of a fan experiencing an alarm or loss of communication will change as per examples below:

If a fan has more than one alarm, they will be displayed in a list as they occur, and the alarm counter will increment.
The controller's screen can display up to 3 fan alarms per fan.

9.2 Warning indications

In contrast to a communication loss or a fan alarm, the controller will not skip to a fan's status screen in case of one
or more fan warnings. Instead, the controller will switch on the yellow LED, and once that fan's status screen has
been manually located, the controller will indicate the active warnings of that fan as shown in the example below:

When a fan has more than one warning, they will be displayed in sequence on the same line, approximately 3
seconds apart from each other e.g. figures 26 and 27 above are separated by approximately 3 seconds.
Note: If the fan is switched off after experiencing alarms or warnings, the controller will, in most cases,
temporarily save the alarms and/or warnings of that fan to a Modbus holding register value. See Appendix F –
Modbus Holding Registers for more details. Please note that those holding registers will be defaulted to '0' if

9.3 Sensor Failures

When using the fans as sensor inputs, it is possible to detect failed sensors based on the RPM reading of the fan
and the sensor's differential pressure signal (in Pa).
The default threshold values are "300 RPM" and "2 Pa" and a "sensor fail alarm" will be triggered when both
following statements are true:
1. Fan RPM > RPM threshold
2. Sensor Differential Pressure Signal (Pa) < Pa threshold
The accuracy in detecting failed sensors greatly depends on the values of those thresholds which can be
configured inside Main Menu -> Advanced Settings -> Alarm Output -> Sensor Fail Alarm.
Note: This is an experimental feature and should not be used as a fundamental part of a healthy running
system as it has the potential of false positive / negative alarms. It is therefore disabled by default.
