About the batteries
Use dry cell, alkaline batteries. Follow the instructions below to prevent the batteries from rupturing or leaking fluid.
When replacing the batteries, use new batteries of the same brand.
If you will not be using the remote control for a long time, remove the batteries.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.

When Not Using for a Long Time
If you are leaving your home in the winter, for example when going on vacation, be sure to drain
the water to prevent freezing.
Also, if the toilet is in a location you will not visit for a long time, drain the water.
(The water in the tank may become contaminated and cause skin inflammation or other problems.)

Disconnect the power plug and
take steps to deal with the water
remaining in the bowl unit.
Putting antifreeze in the water remaining in the
bowl unit will reduce its chances of freezing.
How to drain the water
When you use Washlet again, the
water supply and power supply will be
required. (See below)

After draining the water, reinsert the water
filter drain valve.
Tighten it securely using a flat-head
screwdriver.

Open the water supply valve.

Check that there are no leaks in the
plumbing or the Washlet.
Insert the power plug.

Discharge water from the
wand.
While pressing the right side of the toilet
seat, press the "REAR" button on the
remote control to discharge water from
the wand. (Catch the water in a paper
cup or another receptacle.)
If the remaining water has frozen and
no water comes out, heat the inside
of the bathroom, and warm the water
supply hose and water supply valve
using a cloth soaked in warm water.

Press [FULL FLUSH] on the
remote control to flush.
If there is no water in the tank, you
cannot flush the toilet. Never operate
the toilet with no water in the tank.
When the tank is filling with water, the
LED on the main display will flicker.
After the tank is full, the LED changes.
(Tank filling time: approx. 60 seconds)

After the bowl unit fills with
water, press [FULL FLUSH]
once more.
