6 Conditions for Compliance with UL/cUL Standards
Installing Branch Circuit Protection and Short-Circuit
Current Rating
To provide protection for short-circuit accidents in internal circuits, always
connect molded-case circuit breakers or Fuses on the input side of the SERVO-
PACK as branch circuit protective devices.
Use UL-listed molded-case circuit breakers and UL-recognized fuses.
The short-circuit current rating (SCCR) of the SERVOPACK will depend on the
type of branch circuit protective device that you connect.
-7W SERVOPACKs are suitable for the Motor Group Installation defined in
UL 61800-5-1 as long as the following conditions are met.
• The -7W SERVOPACK must be used in a circuit that provides the short-cir-
cuit current rating (SCCR) given in the following table.
• The -7W SERVOPACK must be protected by one of the branch circuit pro-
tection devices given in the following table.
The maximum applicable voltage for compliance with UL/cUL standards is
given below regardless of the short-circuit current rating.
 200 V Class: 240 Vrms
 Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR): 5,000 Arms (Sine Wave)
Use Class CC, Class J, or Class T fuses for time delay fuses and non-time delay
fuses.
