When using an extension cord, make sure that it is sufficiently strong so that it can carry the necessary current for powering the machine. An extension cord with insufficient dimensions will result in a reduction of power voltage, which will result in reduced performance and overheating.

    Basics of work safety BASICS OF WORK SAFETY Never use the machine if the power cable is damaged or visibly worn. In the event that you connect the tiller using a damaged power cord to a power source and then touch the place that is uninsulated before the tiller is disconnected from the power source, you subject yourself to a risk of injury by electrical shock.

    PURPOSE OF USE The FIELDMANN Electrical Tiller is designed for breaking up larger lumps of soil and hardened chunks of soil on small to medium size horticultural areas, home gardens and garden allotments. It is not intended for use on public fields, in parks, sports centres, on roads, in agriculture or forestry.

    Assembly ASSEMBLY Insert the bottom part of the handle into the hole in the body of the tiller and secure it in place using the pro- vided screws M4 × 20 (fig.2). Fig. 2 M4x20 2.     Before turning on the electric tiller BEFORE TURNING ON THE ELECTRIC TILLER ATTENTION: Never remove or short-circuit the safety features mounted on the electric tiller (for example fastening the push button/lever to the handle). ATTENTION: The blades of the tiller will continue to rotate for a short time after it is turned off! Never lift or carry the tiller with the motor running.

    Operation / Use CAUTION: Use the tiller for breaking up clumps of soil and preparing garden beds for sowing. To break up clumps of soil or for deep loosening, allow the tiller to pull your hands to the end of their reach and then firmly pull the tiller back towards yourself.

    Worn out blades provide only a low level of performance and overload the motor. Check the blades before each use. Sharpen or replace the blade if necessary.
