Effective presentations

By taking advantage of this presenter's many features, you can conduct a more effective presentations.
1. Use the FREEZE function when changing presentation items (p. 11).

Press the FREEZE button to freeze the current picture.

Switch the items on the stage and adjust the position as required. During this period, a still image of the previously shown item is
displayed.

Press the FREEZE button again. The new item is shown on the display.
This method is especially useful when presenting consecutive items that are the same size (zoom or focus function is not used).
2. Use the PICTURE MEMORY buttons 1 to 3 (p. 16).
Example 1 : When comparing and examining three tables, store them in the PICTURE MEMORY (1 to 3). These three tables can be
switched with one button.
Example 2 : Shoot a 3D object at various angles using the 5-position camera arm function (p. 8) and store the different shots in
memory. These stored images can be used to enhance your presentation.
Example 3 : Store frequently used presentation material (documents, objects, etc.) to make your presentation run more smoothly.
To show a picture from the camera, press the same button (PICTURE MEMORY 1 to 3) again or press the "FREEZE" button. To show a still
picture with the "FREEZE" function when in the PICTURE MEMORY mode, press the "FREEZE" button once and press it once more to show a
picture from the camera.
3. Use the VIDEO OUT function when changing items (p. 12).

Connect the optional LCD monitor (TA-AV-Z7U) etc. to the VIDEO OUT connector on the rear of this unit (p. 6).

When switching items on the stage, press the VIDEO OUT button. The display screen goes black. However, the picture from the
camera can be checked on a local monitor.

Change the items and adjust the zoom, iris, etc. by checking the picture on the local monitor.

When you have completed all necessary adjustments, press the VIDEO OUT button again. The new item is shown on the display.
This method is recommended when showing items of different sizes and when using the zoom and iris, etc.
Notes:
● Depending on the type of projector, RGB output pictures may be distorted or may take time to appear when switching.
● Depending on the type of projector, indications such as "NO SYNC" may appear when signals are switched off.
4. Use the split mode of the FREEZE function (p. 11).

Set the split mode with the ON-SCREEN ADJUSTMENTS. The screen can be divided horizontally ("Hori.") or vertically ("Verti.").

Place the item on the lower half ("Hori." is selected) or the right half ("Verti." is selected) of the stage. Press the FREEZE button to
freeze the picture. (The indicator blinks.) For example, show an object with closed cover.

The upper or left half of the stage is used to show a real time moving picture. Therefore, move the object to the upper or left half of
the stage and open the cover. Now, the object is shown with the cover opened and closed on the same screen.
This split mode is also useful to switch presentation materials continuously while keeping the contents fixed.
5. Give an explanation using the POINTER when a picture is frozen.

Press the FREEZE button to freeze the current picture.

Explain the item being viewed by moving the cursor around with the POINTER buttons to show your audience what you are talking
about. The pointer can be moved in the direction shown by the arrows on the remote control. As the picture is frozen with the
FREEZE function, the pointer does not shift from the item on the screen even if the material has moved.
