Edge Erase

(Copying > Basic Copying)
Sometimes a dark edge appears outside a copied image. This can be caused by a gap
between the original glass and the platen sheet. You can delete this shadow on copies using a
function called edge erase. This feature is especially useful when you are making copies of
thick heavy cardstock or bound originals.
1. Place the originals face up in
the automatic document feeder and
adjust the guides.
2. On the HOME screen, tap Copy.
3. Tap the EDIT tab on the touch
panel.
