    Bypass Copying In this job shop you will use the stack bypass of the e-STUDIO to copy onto thick LT-R (landscape orientation) paper. Use the bypass tray to make copies on specialty media like card stock, OHP transparency film or non-standard size paper.

    Edge Erase (Copying > Basic Copying) Sometimes a dark edge appears outside a copied image. This can be caused by a gap between the original glass and the platen sheet. You can delete this shadow on copies using a function called edge erase. This feature is especially useful when you are making copies of thick heavy cardstock or bound originals.

    Job Build You can scan several stacks of originals whose settings are individually different, and then copy or store them in one operation. Note: You can scan up to 1000 pages of originals in one operation. There is no limit to the number of jobs. Note: Some settings are not available in job build, and some settings when applied to the first job will be applied to all the other jobs.

    Setting up e-Filing Boxes The e-Filing feature lets you store, print, and manage documents that you have obtained by copying, scanning, printing from a PC, receiving as a regular fax, and receiving as an Internet fax. The Public user box is a default setting for storing shared documents and can be accessed by all users without restriction.

    Replace Toner Cartridges: e-STUDIO8518A The system displays a message in the touch panel when you should replace a toner cartridge. You can add the cartridges to the system while it is turned on. Caution: Ask a person who has experience with replacing the toner cartridge for assistance. Although, this is a safe and easy procedure to perform, it might be messy for a person doing this for the first time.
