Do not place the monitor and its accessories near to heat sources, such as a radiator or a heater.
·
Do not place metallic objects, combustible objects, or objects containing water on top of the monitor, such as
metal clip, shredded paper, and flower vase.
·
When the monitor is being moved between two locations of different temperature, water condensations on both
the inside and outside of the monitor may cause electrical shocks. After relocation, leave the monitor for a few
hours before switching on.
·
For optimum performance, use only the original accessories and AC power adapter supplied with the monitor.

Monitor Maintenance

·
Before cleaning the monitor with damp cloth, always unplug the monitor from the AC outlet.
·
Do not clean the monitor with abrasive solvents such as alcohol or benzene.
·
To clean the cabinet and the LCD screen, use a soft cloth damped with clean water. Make sure that water does not
enter the monitor through the ventilation holes.
·
When cleaning the LCD screen, avoid scratching or applying excessive pressures on the screen surface.

INSTALLATION

Monitor Connections (Fig. 2)
Step 1
Turn off your computer and unplug it from the AC outlet.
Step 2
Connect the RGB video cable from your computer to the RGB connector (
Step 3
Connect the DVI video cable from your computer to the DVI connector (
Step 4
Connect the audio cable (optional) from the "Audio Out" port on your computer, to the Audio In socket

) on the monitor.
Step 5
If you prefer to listen to the audio via a headphone instead of the built-in speakers, connect a headphone
to the socket on the side of the monitor. Note that once the headphone is connected, the built-in speakers
will be muted.
Step 6
Connect the DC cord of the AC power adapter to the 12V DC input jack (

Connect the socket end of the AC cord to the AC power adapter, and the plug end to the AC outlet.
Step 8
Switch on the monitor.
Step 9
Switch on the computer.
Step 10
Once the operating system has completed its booting process, install the software driver as specified in
the accompanying "Driver Installation Menu" .
USB Connections (Optional) (Fig. 3)
Step 1
Turn off your computer and unplug it from the AC outlet.
Step 2
Turn off all the USB peripheral devices that are to be connected to the monitor.
Step 3
Connect the plug B end of the USB cable to the upstream port on the monitor.
Step 4
Connect the plug A end of the USB cable to any of the unused downstream port on your computer.
Step 5
Connect the USB peripheral devices to the downstream port on the monitor.
Step 6
Switch ON your computer and wait for the operating system to complete its boot process.

Refer to the "USB Driver Installation Guide" to guide you through software driver installation process.
