INSPECTION • Do not use or permit use of any equipment that is damaged, or has worn or broken parts. For all Trojan equipment use only replacement parts supplied by Trojan. • Always make sure that all nuts and bolts are tightened prior to each use.

ASSEMBLY STEPS 1. PREPARATION • Before assembling make sure that you will have enough space around the item. • Use the supplied parts and hardware for the assembly. • Before assembling, please check whether all the required parts have been supplied as per the exploded drawing on the previous page.

ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 3: INSTALLING THE STEP 3 LOWER HANDLEBARS Assemble the 2 Plastic Spacers (21), with 1 Washer (S), the Upper Handlebar (7R, 7L) over the Front Post (4). Then tighten the Lower Handle (7R, 7L) with 1 Hex Head Bolt (D), 1 Spring Washer (P) and 1 Washer (E).

ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 5: INSTALLING THE STEP 5 LOWER HANDLEBAR Assemble the Lower Handlebar (7R, 7L) through the Pedal Arm (9R, 9L). Then tighten them with 1 Hex Head Bolt (H), 1 Washer (B) and 1 Nut M8 (I). STEP 6: INSTALLING THE PEDAL BAR STEP 6 Assemble the End Cap (11R, 11L) on the Pedal Arm (9R, 9L) and tighten them with 3 Screws (K).

ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 7: INSTALLING THE PEDAL STEP 7 Assemble the Pedal (1OR, 1OL) on to the Pedal Arm (9R, 9L) and tighten them with 2 Hex Head Bolts (L) and 2 Washers (B) and 2 Nuts (I). STEP 8: INSTALLING THE HANDLEBARS STEP 8 Slide the Upper Handlebars (8R, 8L) into the Lower Handlebars (7R, 7L).

ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 9: INSTALLING THE STEP 9 MIDDLE HANDLEBAR Attach the Middle Handlebar (5) to the Front Post (4) and tighten them with 2 Spring Washers (P) and 2 Bolts (Q). STEP 10: INSTALLING THE CONSOLE STEP 10 Unfasten the Screws (R) in the Console (6), and connect the Console Wire (28c, b).

ASSEMBLY STEPS STEP 11: INSTALLING THE CONSOLE STEP 11 Fit the Front Post Cover (4) and tighten with 2 Screws (J) and 1 Screw (T). Connect the Handle Pulse Wire (31) to the socket at the bottom of the Console (6).

CONSOLE FUNCTIONS ▼ DISTANCE: Press MODE button until “ ” appears on DISTANCE. At this setting the distance travelled from the beginning of the exercise will be displayed. ▼ CALORIE: Press MODE button until “ ” appears on CAL. At this setting the total calories burnt from the start of the exercise wn:h be displayed.
EXERCISE INSTRUCTIONS Using your Trojan Summit 280 Elliptical Trainer provides you with several benefits, it will improve your physical fitness, tone muscle and in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet, help you lose weight. THE WARM UP PHASE This stage helps get the blood flowing around the body and the muscles working properly. It will also reduce the risk of cramp and muscle injury.

MUSCLE TONING To tone muscle while on your the Trojan Summit 280 Elliptical Trainer you will need to have the resistance set quite high. This will put more strain on your leg muscles and may mean you cannot train for as long as you would like.

CONDITIONING GUIDELINES How you begin your exercise program depends on your physical condition. If you have been inactive for several years, or are severely overweight, you must start slowly and increase your time on the equipment, a few minutes per workout. Initially, you may be able to exercise only for a few minutes in your target zone, however, your aerobic fitness will improve over the next 6 to 8 weeks.
WARM UP & COOL DOWN WORKOUT GUIDELINES Each workout should include the following 3 parts: 1. A WARM-UP: 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise. A proper warm-up increases your body temperature, heart rate, and circulation in preparation for exercise. 2.
MAINTENANCE CLEANING The Trojan Summit 280 Elliptical Trainer can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents on plastic parts. Please wipe your perspiration off the Trojan Summit 280 Elliptical Trainer after each use.
