QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE:
To arm using your remote
To arm the system, lock the vehicle doors with your factory keyless entry
transmitter. When the system arms, you will hear one chirp and the
parking lights will flash once.
To disarm using your remote
To disarm the system, unlock the doors using your factory keyless entry
transmitter. When the system disarms, you will hear two chirps and the
parking lights will flash twice.
Disarming without a transmitter
To disarm with the Valet switch: Turn on the ignition key. Then press the
Valet switch the pre-programmed number of times within 15 seconds. If
the system does not disarm, you may have waited too long; turn the
ignition off and repeat the process.
To disarm using the vehicle key: Insert the key into one of the door key
cylinders. Turn the key until the door(s) unlocks. The siren will chirp to
confirm that the security system has been disarmed. Note: Disarming
with the vehicle key will only work if your system has been programmed
for Level I security.
To activate or deactivate Panic Mode
Press the lock button on your factory keyless transmitter twice within
three seconds to enter Panic Mode. The siren will sound (or the horn will
honk) and the parking lights will flash for 30 seconds. To stop Panic
Mode at any time, press the unlock button on your factory keyless entry
transmitter. Note: Your system may not be programmed for Panic Mode
feature.
To enter or exit Valet Mode
To enter or exit Valet Mode, turn the ignition key on and then off. Then
press and release the Valet switch within 10 seconds. The status LED will
light steadily if you are entering Valet Mode and will turn off if you are
exiting Valet Mode.
Remote Valet
To activate Valet Mode with your factory keyless entry transmitter, first
open any vehicle door. Then press the lock button on your transmitter.
Press the unlock button. Then press the lock button again. The status
LED will light solid if you are entering Valet Mode and will turn off if you
are exiting Valet Mode. Note: The Remote Valet feature may not work
with all factory keyless entry systems, but you should still be able to
enter Valet Mode manually, using the Valet switch.
