MODELS CrystalLink USB-3-2-1 CATx Models The CrystalLink USB-3-2-1 CATx enables users to extend beyond the standard 5m cable limit for USB peripherals by locating high-speed USB device(s) up to 330 feet (100 meters) from the computer. Before beginning an installation, ensure you have all products and components ready for the installation Cabling Requirements The CrystalLink USB-3-2-1 CATx extender requires a minimum grade of Category 6a cabling to be used in order to reach 330ft (100m) of extension distance. For full distance extension, patch cable can be used up to 35ft (10m) only.
Equipment Location Before installing the CrystalLink USB-3-2-1 CATx extender, you will need to prepare your site and cable distance measurements. ■ Place the computer in the preferred location and set it up. ■ Ensure to locate your USB device(s) within the recommended CAT6a/7 cable-length from the computer. If not, adjust the location of your device(s) and/or computer accordingly.
