f If the synchronized projectors are not displayed in the list, check the following:
g Are there devices with the same IP address on the network?
g Are the LAN cables connected correctly? (x page 101)
g Are the subnets of the projectors the same?
g Are the same [LINK] settings applied to a group?
f Refer to "[NETWORK SETUP]" (x page 100) or "[Network config] page" (x page 108) on how to change the projector name.
Brightness control adjustment procedure example
This is an example of an adjustment procedure for synchronizing the brightness of eight projectors connected to the network.
1)
Connect all projectors to the hub using LAN cables. (x page 101)
2)
Switch on all projectors and start projection.
3)
Set [MODE] of [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] to [OFF], and select [APPLY], and then press the
<ENTER> button.
4)
Set [SUBNET MASK] and [IP ADDRESS] in each projector.
f To be able to communicate over the network, set the same value in [SUBNET MASK] for all projectors and set a different value in [IP
ADDRESS] for each projector.
5)
Wait for at least 15 minutes after starting projection until the light source brightness stabilizes.
6)
Set the same value in all items inside the [PICTURE] menu for all projectors.
7)
Adjust [COLOR MATCHING] to match colors.
8)
Display the internal test pattern "All white" in all projectors.
9)
Set [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL GAIN] to 100 % in all projectors.
10) Set [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL GAIN] to 90 % in the projector with the least brightness.
11) Adjust [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL GAIN] in each projector.
f Adjust [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL GAIN] of all the other projectors so that the brightness is matched to the projector of which
[BRIGHTNESS CONTROL GAIN] is set to 90 %.
12) Set [MODE] of [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] to [AUTO], and [LINK] to [GROUP A] in all projectors.
13) Select [APPLY] of [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] and press the<ENTER> button in all projectors.
f Brightness control starts.
Note
f Brightness is automatically corrected whenever the light source lights up by switching on/off the projector, etc.
f When the variation in brightness has increased, or when you replace the light source unit, readjust the brightness control.

Chapter 4 Settings — [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu
f Limit the number of projectors in one group to eight.
f When synchronizing nine or more projectors, use the dedicated software "Multi Projector
Monitoring & Control Software"
f Set [COMMAND CONTROL] in [NETWORK CONTROL] of the projector displaying an error to
[ON].
f Assign the same value to [COMMAND PORT] of the [NETWORK CONTROL] of all projectors to be
synchronized.
f Assign the same [User name] and [Password] strings of the web control administrator rights of all
projectors to be synchronized.
f The projector is in standby. Switch on the power.
f There is a problem with the brightness sensor. If problems persist even after switching the power
on, consult your dealer.
