Logging in as a guest user

About this task
Log in to another phone as a guest to retain the features and functionality of your own phone.
For example, if you are temporarily using a visitor's office telephone but want to have your
Contacts list available. The phone must be on hook to select this feature.
Note:
The guest user login option is available only if your administrator has configured the
GUESTLOGINSTAT parameter in the settings file.
Procedure
1. Press Avaya Menu.
2. Select Guest Login.
3. Enter your extension number.
4. Press Enter or OK.
5. Enter your password.
6. Press Enter or OK.
7. Scroll left or right to select the expected amount of time (1 to 12 hours) you will use

Visiting user

A visiting user is anyone who uses a 9600 Series IP deskphone in one location, for example
New York, and intends to register to a call server in some other location, for example in Paris.
Typically, this occurs when a user has travelled from the home location to another location in
the organization, but wants to register with the call server back home to get the feature buttons
and other features specifically administered for that profile.
Note:
When you are logged in to another phone as a visiting user, a preset timer may terminate
your login after a predetermined period of inactivity. When you log in to another phone as a
