EPLACING
Each amplifier has four fans. Two of these fans are placed in the front of the unit and two in the
back.
To replace the front fans, remove the front panel grill to access the fans (by unscrewing the 8
screws that are holding it in place). When this grill is removed, access to the two fans permits
their removal (by unscrewing the three screws that hold in place each fan). The left fan has to be
removed first in order to allow the removal of the right one. After freeing the fans, remove the
tie-wraps that are holding the cables of the fans and disconnect them from the connectors that are
leading to the power supply. Use for replacement DC fans (P/N 290-100600-001). Reconnect the
new fans and use a new tie-wrap to tie the cables. Put back in place the fans (using three screws
for each one, and then put back in place the front panel grill (using the 8 screws that are holding
it in place).
To replace the back fans, remove the back panel grill to access the fans (by unscrewing the 8
screws that are holding it in place). When the back panel grill is removed, access to the two fans
permits their removal (by unscrewing the three screws that hold in place each fan). The right fan
has to be removed first in order to allow the removal of the left one. After freeing the fans,
remove the tie-wraps that are holding the cables of the fans and disconnect them from the
connectors that are leading to the power supply. Use for replacement DC fans (P/N 290-100600-
001). Reconnect the new fans and use a new tie-wrap to tie the cables. Put back in place the fans
(using three screws for each one, and then put back in place the back panel grill (using the 8
screws that are holding it in place).
