3 Product Overview

3.1 Product Description

The mattress offers pressure reducing qualities, specific
to the individuals needs. By promoting even weight
distribution, they reduce tissue pressure at potentially
vulnerable areas.
The mattress is zipped around 3 sides for ease of inspection
and cleaning.
The water-resistant cover provides a vapour-permeable,
multi stretch surface, to promote patient comfort and to
maximise the effectiveness of the foam core.
Essential Touch: Double sided castellated foam allows the
mattress to be turned or rotated inside the cover for
increased product longevity.

3.2 Intended Use

This mattress is intended to deliver effective pressure
redistribution to users. It is intended to be used in
conjunction with an appropriately sized bed frame as part of
an overall pressure ulcer prevention program of care.
Indications for Use
Essential Basic: Suitable for users who do not require
therapy for pressure ulcer.
Essential Care, Visco, Plus, Wave, Touch: Suitable for users
'At Risk/ High Risk' of developing pressure ulcers.
