Marking the Ball

The Vector Pro Launch System uses the marks you make on the golf ball
to measure the ball flight parameters. All marks must face the Vector
Pro camera lens when the ball is positioned for hitting. No other ball
marks should be visible to the Vector Pro camera; the marks must be
made on a blank face of a white ball. Two ways to mark the ball are
explained below.
You can also stripe the ball by extending an existing mark. For instance,
if the name of the manufacturer is shorter than one inch, add a short
stripe to either side of it, or draw the new stripe through it. There are a
number of golf ball marking devices commonly used in the industry. Any
of these will work for striping the ball for use with the Vector Pro.

October 2008
1. Two Dot method – Use the supplied AccuSport Ball
Marking Kit for ease in drawing two black dots on a
blank face of the golf ball. Make sure that both dots
are filled in completely for accurate reading.
2. Stripe method -- Another method for marking the
ball is to draw a black stripe at least one inch long on a
blank face of the ball. The mark must be clearly visible
when it is facing the Vector Pro and must be drawn
perfectly straight.
Use the Setup Template to tee up the ball in
the correct position. If you are not using the
Setup Template, review the setup illustration
on page 21, to understand the golfer position
and hitting zones. Tee the ball up in the
Right Tee Zone for a right handed golfer.
For a left handed golfer, tee up the ball up
in the Left Tee Zone. *Make sure to Click
Options in the menu bar on the Vector Pro
screen and select Preferences. In the Default
right tee
zone
Golfer box, select left handed.
