The following steps describe how to measure power across the J12 jumper on the WICED Smart Tag (see
Figure 1 on page 9
for component locations):
1. Remove R29 to isolate the BCM20737 chip from the board.
2. Keep RD5 and RD6 in the B-C positions to measure power without the external DC/DC converter in play.
Note: The DC/DC converter reduces power consumption: when in use RD5 and RD6 are in the A-C
position.
Power consumption can be further reduced by removing FB3. However, doing so will prevent
reprogramming of the WICED Smart Tag.
3. Measure the power across the J12 jumper
