4. Push the dipstick down into the dipstick tube
and ensure that it is seated fully, then pull the
dipstick out and check the oil level.
5. If the oil level is low, remove the oil-fill cap
(Figure 62) and gradually add small quantities of
oil, checking the level frequently, until the level
reaches the Full mark on the dipstick.
Important:
Keep the engine-oil level
between the upper and lower limits on
the dipstick. Overfilling or underfilling the
engine oil may cause severe engine damage.
