HUAWEI Eudemon8000E Firewall
Hardware Description
This chapter provides the positioning of the Eudemon8000E in the network.
The Eudemon8000E is a new generation and high-end 10-Gigabit Firewall developed by
Huawei for the core network and backbone network.
The Eudemon8000E is of large capacity, high performance, and high reliability. As a high
performance security device, the Eudemon8000E provides an all-round and flexible network
solution for network applications.
The Eudemon8000E carrier-class chassis supports hot swap of boards.

(EMC). The overall system achieves module-level shield. Each handle is made of steel sheet to
isolate the electromagnetic wave of boards.

you plug out a board, press and hold the OFL button for six seconds till the OFL indicator
becomes on. Then you can plug out the board safely.
