Check the rear shock absorber by pushing
•
hard downwards on rear grip while the
vehicle is not parked on stand. The vehicle
action should be smooth and there should
be no oil leakage.
BULB REPLACEMENT
Refer to the safety precautions (page 46).
The bulb becomes very hot while the lamp is
"ON", and remains hot for a while after it is
turned "OFF". Be sure to let it cool down
before servicing.
Do not put finger prints on the headlamp bulb,
as they may create hot spots on the bulb and
cause it to break.
Wear clean gloves while replacing the bulb. If
you touch the bulb with your bare hands, clean
it with a cloth moistened with alcohol to
prevent its early failure.
Be sure to turn the ignition switch "OFF"

when replacing the bulb.
Do not use bulbs other than specified.
•
After installing a new bulb, check that the
•
lamp operates properly.
(a) Headlamp bulb
Remove the headlamp case (page 33).
•
Disconnect the headlamp connector (1).
•
Remove the dust cover (2).
•
Release the clip (3) from its position.
•
Remove the headlamp bulb (4) without
•
turning.

Install a new bulb in the reverse order of
•
removal.
Install the headlamp case (page 33).
•
(b) Front turn signal bulb
Remove the front upper cover (page 31).
•
Remove the bulb holder (1) with the bulb.
•
Remove the bulb (2) by turning it to
•
anticlockwise direction.
