Pipe cleaning
This function cleans the pipes by operating at the maximum frequency during one pump
cycle.
To avoid sedimentation and pipe clogging, the pump cleans the pipes by running the
pump from the start level until the stop level is reached.
The function is enabled or disabled in the P6-13:Sump/pipe cleaning setting parameter.
When pipe cleaning is performed, the sump cleaning message is displayed since there is
no pipe cleaning message. See

Maintenance run

The maintenance run function is used to prevent prolonged periods of inactivity that
degrade the pump. The function triggers the pump to run at low speed (5 Hz) after a
certain period of inactivity in auto-standby mode.
The time between activations is set in the P8-01:Stir interval duration parameter, default is
0, function deactivated.
Normal pumping operation is prioritized over maintenance run but there is no display
status message for maintenance run. When the function execution is completed, the drive
automatically returns to standby mode.

High-level runtime

When the high-level switch is activated, the pump is started immediately whereas the
high-level alarm is delayed 10 s. The pump is active until the high-level switch is inactive,
and then for an extra time period (default 10 s). The time period is adjustable in
parameter P4-15 in the range 10–600 s.

Water hammer reduction

The water hammer reduction function ramps the pump speed from the set point to 15 Hz
in P1-04:Deceleration ramp time s, after which the pump coasts to stop. Using the default
values, the water hammer effect is sufficiently reduced in pipes up to 1250 m (4101 ft)
given that the minimum static head is 1 m (3.28 ft), the fluid velocity is <1 m/s (<3.28 ft/s)
and that the height difference between sump level and pipeline height is below 8 m
(26.25 ft).
