Incontinence programs

Incontinence programs can be executed using specific anal and
vaginal probes, which can be purchased separately. The probes must
be covered by CE MDD certification, in accordance with the directive
93/42/EEC, and must be bipolar and equipped with a 2 mm female
connector for 2 mm male cables.
Warnings
Since these applications have a medical intended use, they must be
carried out under medical supervision.
Use
To use the probes correctly, follow the instructions provided by the
manufacturer or the physician.
Maintenance
For cleaning, sterilization and disinfection refer to manufacturer
instructions.
Suggestions
In case of deterioration, replace the probe and do not use it again.

Iontophoresis

Iontophoresis is a form of electrotherapy through which pharmacological
substances are transmitted inside the tissues thanks to a unidirectional
continuous electric current.
Iontophoresis is based on the ionic dissociation capacity of some
medicinal substances, which have very low molecular weight, after they
are dissolved in water.
It is crucial to know if the active part of the medicine, after being
dissociated in a ionic form, has positive or negative charge, with the aim
of placing it correctly according to the direction of the electric flux.
The ions of the medicinal substance are transmitted inside the organism
through cutaneous areas that oppose a low resistance to the current,
reaching the cellular membranes that are thereby modified electrically.
The home user can use iontophoresis treatments only after consulting a
specialist who will prescribe treatment medicines and indications.
Current intensity should be regulated so as to be barely perceptible. We
suggest starting the treatment from minimum intensity and increasing it
gradually.
Therapy medicament MUST NEVER BE APPLIED DIRECTLY ON THE SKIN, but
always on the absorbing surface of the electrode that corresponds to
the polarity of the medicament, while the absorbing surface of the other
electrode will have to be dampened with slightly salted water in order to
facilitate current circulation.
