Install the two new SIMMs. On the NT6D66BA card, install the SIMM
at location T3 first, then at T4; on the NT6D66AA card, install the SIMM
at location T5 first, then at T6:
Orient the new SIMM so that the notch at one end of the SIMM
aligns with the key at one end of the SIMM socket (see Figures 12-2
and 12-3).
Hold the SIMM at approximately a 50- to 70-degree angle and
gently insert the SIMM into the socket (see Figures 12-4 and
12-5).
Do not force the SIMM into the socket. Any damage caused to the
socket will require replacement of the NT6D66 CP card.
Using your thumbs and index fingers only (at the upper corners of
the SIMM), carefully lean the SIMM toward the others until it is
upright and the latch at each end of the SIMM snaps into place. If
necessary, use the non-conductive screw driver to assist you in
opening each latch while you move the SIMM into the upright
position.

Apply new labels to the upgraded card, making sure to use the correct
label for the card you are upgrading:
Apply the new faceplate label over the existing label at the center of
the faceplate: Place an NT6D66DA label over an NT6D66AA label
or an NT6D66BD label over an NT6D66BA label.
Apply the new bar code label next to the existing bar code label at
the top of the faceplate; do not cover the existing label with the new
one.
Discard all unused labels.

Verify that the NORM/MAINT switch on the 48 MB CP card is set to
MAINT.
