Diamond blade
Checking the blade
Always inspect a new blade for damage before
installation.
Abrasive blade
>
Check that the abrasive blade is approved for the
same or higher speed according to the approved
plate of the machine. Never use a blade with a
lower speed rating than that of the concrete saw.
>
Check that the abrasive blade is not cracked or
damaged in any way.
>
Test the abrasive blade by hanging it on your
finger and tapping it lightly with a screwdriver .
If the blade does not produce a full ringing sound
it is damaged.
>
After using an abrasive blade with water cooling,
run the blade dry for about half a minute. If an
abrasive blade is stored in humid conditions, it
can cause imbalance and result in injury.
Diamond blade
>
Check that the diamond blade is rotating in the
direction indicated by the arrow on the blade.
>
Always use a sharp diamond blade. Sharpen the
blade by cutting in a soft material such as
sandstone or brick.
