machine parts
8: Signal indicators
Machine On (default colour: white)
The upper light indicates when the machine is enabled. It is off
when the machine is stand-by or switched off by the main power
switch at the bottom of the machine.
Brew Group Heating (default colour: orange)
Indicates when the brew group is heated. After starting the
machine the indicator is constant on, indicating the brew group is
heated by the thermal bridge and the optional thermal heating
elements in the group. After a while the indicator starts to blink
about 2 minutes. This indicates the thermal elements are
overheating the brew group to accelerate the heating. After these
2 minutes, the signal light flashes slowly for about 3 minutes to
indicate that the brew group is cooling down towards the correct
temperature. After that the indicator will switch off, and only light
up when the system needs to bring it back to temperature.
Boiler Pressure (default colour: red)
Indicates when the correct boiler pressure (1.2 bar) has been
reached. Once the pressure has been reached, the signal
indicator for the boiler heater turns off (but will start blinking at
shorter intervals to indicate re-heating).
Water Tank Level (default colour: blue)
Indicates when water needs to be added to the water tank, or the
water tank is not positioned correctly.
