Setting Up an IP Address Manually
If your network does not support DHCP or the device did not obtain an IP address through DHCP, the device
timeouts after two minutes and reverts to a local IP of 192.168.2.1. You can then access the device through a
direct network connection with a computer.
1.
Manually change the computer's IP settings as follows:
Local IP Address:
Subnet:
Gateway:

Connect directly to the network via an Ethernet cable between the etherFAX A2E and the computer.
3.
Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.2.1.
4.
Log in using the default credentials: Username: admin Password: password
5.
Select Settings > Network from the left menu.
6.
Disable DHCP and assign a static IP, network mask, gateway, and DNS servers.
7.
Click Save.
