7 Commissioning the Inverter
12. Turn the DC load-break switch of the inverter to
position I.
13. If the green LED is still flashing, the conditions for activating feed-in operation are not yet met.
As soon as the conditions for feed-in operation are met, the inverter starts with feed-in
operation and, depending on the available power, the green LED will light up continuously or
it will pulse.
14. After starting the feed-in operation, wait 15 minutes before the new assembly has
synchronized with the inverter. An inverter update of the inverter can also be carried out.
15. If the red LED lights up, an event has occurred. Find out which event has occurred and, if
necessary, initiate countermeasures.
16. Update the inverter network settings and integrate the inverter into the local network (see
inverter manual).
17. If necessary, reconfigure the communication modules. For this, start the installation wizard via
the user interface of the inverter (see manual of the inverter). If there is a QR code on the
enclosure lid for easy connection to the user interface via Wi-Fi, it can no longer be used after
the replacement of the communication assembly.
18. If the inverter is registered in Sunny Portal, replace the inverter in Sunny Portal (see installation
manual "Replacement of SMA Devices in Systems with Communication Products" at
www.SMA-Solar.com).
19. Ensure that the inverter feeds in correctly.
