7.7 Mounting the manifold block

Explosion hazard due to explosive atmosphere during mounting!
During mounting work, there must not be an explosive atmosphere. When working
on the manifold block, this condition could trigger an ignition which may lead to an
explosion.
▶ Before working with the manifold block, ensure that no explosive atmosphere
may occur while working.
Faulty fastening!
Improper mounting of the manifold block or mounting with mounting screws of
reduced strength can cause the block to loosen and fall down and lead to personal
injury or damage to property.
▶ Mount the manifold block thoroughly according to the mounting instructions by
means of suitable mounting aids.
▶ Mount the manifold block exclusively to suitable, stiff mounting faces and
consoles. Take account of the weight of the manifold block which is indicated in
these operating instructions.
▶ Use exclusively mounting screws according to the dimensions and strength
classes (10.9) specified on the installation drawing.
▶ Observe the tightening torques and strength classes of the valve mounting
screws. Details can be found on the assembly drawing and in the data sheets of
the built-on valves.
▶ Use exclusively plug screws and fittings with elastomer seals, which are suitable
for the hydraulic pressure range and the specified mounting cavities on the
manifold block.
Faulty mounting of plug screws and lines!
Improperly fitted plug screws and lines may become loose during subsequent
operation and be ejected under pressure and thus cause serious injuries!
▶ Only pressurize your system after all plug screws and lines have been completely
and properly mounted according to the specifications.
