6 Transport and storage

For transportation and storage, always observe the ambient conditions specified in
the technical data (see installation drawing).
Bosch Rexroth manifold blocks are high-quality products. To avoid damage to
these products, transport manifold blocks in their original packaging or with an
equivalent transport protection.

6.1 Transporting the manifold

Non-secured manifold blocks toppling over or falling down!
Unsecured manifold blocks can topple over or fall down and, in the case of heavy
weight, bruise or strike persons dead or cause series injuries or bruises.
▶ Use the original packaging for transport.
▶ Ensure a stable position during transport to the place of installation.
▶ Before it is completely installed, transport and secure the manifold block at the
lifting eyes and load attachment points provided for this purpose, and not at
parts of little stability.
▶ Transport the manifold block by means of a forklift truck or suitable lifting gear
observing the safety instructions. Make sure that the load-carrying capacity of
your lifting gear is sufficient.
▶ Wear personal protective equipment.
▶ Comply with the national laws and regulations regarding occupational health
and safety and transport.
Heavy components!
Lifting manifold blocks of heavy weight of more than 15 kg involves the risk of
health damage.
▶ When carrying the manifold block, apply suitable techniques for lifting, setting
down and relocating.
▶ Use suitable lifting gear for handling heavy manifold blocks.
▶ When handling the manifold block, secure it against toppling over.
▶ Put the manifold block carefully on the supporting surface in order that it is not
damaged.

6.1.1 Transport using lifting gear

Please observe the following points for transporting:
• Properties of the load (e.g. weight, center of gravity, mounting and attachment
points).
• Way of attaching or suspending the load.
• Make sure that the load carrying capacity of the lifting gear is sufficient for
transporting the manifold block without any risks.
• Use textile slings according to DIN EN 1492-2.
