Introduction 3 (20) Introduction This manual only covers the installation of the Sesam radio remote system. The Sesam system is not a complete remote control system; it provides only the set of outputs that are driven according to the actions performed by the operator of the transmitter.
Short Description of the System 5 (20) Short Description of the System Receiver Main features: 6 solid state outputs. Outputs and input logic are pre-programmed for custom applications. Waterproof (IP67). Transmitters M6 is a medium size 6- button transmitter. The transmitter comes in 2 different models, one with no button print and one with the button print 1...6.

Description of the Receiver 7 (20) Indications on the Receiver The Sesam 800 RXM model has LED indicators that indicate different param- eters (see Figure 1 for positions of the LEDs). The indications on the LEDs are as follows: Power LED Indicates whether the receiver is powered on or not.
Installation of the Receiver 8 (20) Installation of the Receiver The permanent installation of the receiver must include fuses that protect the equipment and wiring from over current and short-circuit. The power supply to the receiver must be fused with 4A as close to the battery as possible. The cable must be of outer diameter 6-12 mm and each the power conductor at least 0.75mm .
Installation of the Receiver 9 (20) If the outputs are to be pow ered by the same 12-24 V DC supply as the receiver place a jumper between the Output Power Input (SW) and Positive (+) 12- 24 V DC using a 0.75 mm2 cable (see Figure 3). 941551 PB-Free Figure 3.

Pairing Receiver and Transmitter 11 (20) Indicator LED Indications on the Transmitter Normal operation Quick flashing RED LED = Sending message but no feedback available from the receiver. Continuous GREEN LED = Output activated in the receiver (feedback information from receiver). Battery warning Continuous RED after activating a command = Low battery.
L99 Transmitter Configuration 11.1 Group ID All Sesam 800 transmitters have a factory pre-programmed unique identity (ID). This is a number between 1000000 and 16777214. In addition to the pre-programmed unique ID, the Sesam L99 has support for Group ID. A group ID consists of a six digit number that the user can configure on the transmitter.
Operation 13 (20) The transmitter can be restored to factory settings by entering “000000” as ID. For security reasons, only group ID’s less than 100000 can be viewed using this configuration method. 11.2 Configuration of the Display Window Illumination The display on the Sesam L99 has built in automatic illumination that can be ON or OFF.
Replacing Batteries in the Transmitter 14 (20) Replacing Batteries in the Transmitter 13.1 Replacing Batteries in the M6 Transmitter If the status indicator on the transmitter indicates low battery, replace the batter- ies promptly. Before changing the batteries note that changing of batteries must take place in a clean environment free from static electricity.
Replacing Batteries in the Transmitter 15 (20) 13.2 Replacing Batteries in the L99 Transmitter If the display on the transmitter indicates “L O b A T”, replace the batteries promptly. Before changing the batteries note that changing of batteries must take place in a clean environment free from static electricity.
Output Configuration 16 (20) Output Configuration The logic of the outputs are pre-programmed by the OEM distributor. See logic table supplied by the OEM distributor. 14.1 4 Channel digital input module (optional) The logic of the inputs are pre-programmed by the OEM distributor. See logic table supplied by the OEM distributor.

The serial input module is equipped with one RS232 serial channel. When enabled, the current transmitter unique ID, button status and display value (Sesam 800 L99 only) will be output on the serial interface each time any button status changes. This expansion card can be used to connect to external equipment such as a PLC or PC for further processing of the user input from the transmitter.
